Prominent Ear Correction In Thailand
Prominent Ear Correction is a sort of plastic ear surgery, also known as otoplasty, that is used to reduce the size of large or pinched back ears that protrude too far from the head. This plastic surgery treatment, often known as “ear pinning,” can significantly improve a person’s appearance and self-esteem. The ear cartilage is folded back in this procedure to allow the ear to sit in a less conspicuous position. An incision behind the ear is performed to give access to the ear cartilage.
Correction of the earlobes takes around 30 minutes. Ear correction takes between 1 and 2 hours to complete.
Anesthesia Technique:
Local anesthetics are used during the surgery.
There will be no hospital or clinic stays. After surgery, the patient can return to the hotel.
Thailand trip duration: 7 days
Complications and risks:
Any operation can result in infection or bleeding complications. Bleeding is not uncommon following this procedure. Most of the time, cushioning or replacing the head bandage is all that is required. A blood clot can grow beneath the skin on occasion. This must be drained and may need to be dealt with in the operating room. Severe infections or “blood clots against the ear cartilage” might permanently damage the ear cartilage and result in an ear deformity. This complication is uncommon.
Recovery Time:
It is common to feel sluggish and weary for a few days after surgery. After one week, the dressings are removed, and a light head bandage is worn solely at night for the next two weeks. Bruising and swelling may persist for several weeks after surgery. After 1-2 weeks, most people feel ready to return to school or job. Contact sports should be avoided for at least six weeks. The final outcome is usually determined about 3-6 months after surgery.
Preparation for Surgery:
- During the consultation, a medical history evaluation (any allergies, major medical conditions, and all medications taken, both prescribed and non-prescribed), physical examination, and laboratory testing will be done.
- Avoid smoking for around 3-4 weeks before surgery, since nicotine interferes with circulation and has a negative impact on the healing process.
- Stop consuming alcohol a week before surgery and for the duration of your recuperation.
- Hormones, anticoagulants, anabolic steroids, and supplements should be avoided for at least 4-6 weeks before to surgery to avoid complicating medical concerns, and aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs, and herbal supplements should also be avoided since they can increase bleeding.
