Penis Curvature Correction in Thailand
Penile Curvature Correction is the surgical treatment of penile curvature induced by Peyronie’s disease or congenital curvature.
Lateral penile curvature is a somewhat common disease, affecting 4-10% of males. It is caused by either asymmetric embryonic development of the corpora cavernosa (congenital penile curvature) or Peyronie’s disease.
Peyronie’s illness (pay-roe-NEEZ) is characterized by the formation of fibrous scar tissue inside the penis, resulting in twisted, painful erections. Penises vary in shape and size, and a curved erection isn’t always a cause for concern. However, Peyronie’s illness produces severe bend or pain in some men.
This may prevent you from having sex or make it difficult to achieve or keep an erection. For many men, Peyronie’s illness creates worry and anxiety.
Peyronie’s illness occasionally resolves on its own. However, in most cases, it will either stabilize or deteriorate. Treatment may be required if the curvature is severe enough to hinder effective sexual intercourse.
Surgery is typically not indicated unless you’ve had the problem for at least a year and the curvature of your penis has stopped expanding and stabilized for at least six months.
Congenital penile curvature can only be cured surgically, following the same principles as Peyronie’s disease, with the exception that surgery can be performed at any time in adults. Surgery is nearly entirely plication-based, resulting in high curvature correction rates of 67-97%.
Candidates for Penis Curvature Correction:
Inclusion criteria:
Penile curvature greater than 30 degrees.
Exclusion criteria:
Age: less than 18 years.
Non-Orthotopic Meatus
Patients experiencing ED.
Preparation Before Surgery:
Preoperative preparation at the hospital involves blood testing, chest X-rays, and an ECG. If you are on anticoagulant treatment, you may need to stop taking it a few days before the surgery.
Always discuss with your Cardiologist, since anticoagulants may need to be replaced with abdomen injections.
During The Procedure:
General or spinal anesthesia is required during the surgery. Initially, the patient is put supine, and the region is sterilized. An incision is made along the perimeter, beneath the glans (penile head), and the penis is removed from the skin. The curvature is rectified. The majority of patients’ surgeries are accomplished through circumcision. At the end of the treatment, a tight bandage is applied around the body of the penis, which is removed the next day. The typical hospital stay is two days.
A catheter is frequently placed and withdrawn the day after surgery.
In rare circumstances, a graft taken from a part of the patient’s body is used to repair the damage. Grafts may be obtained from the skin dermis, oral mucosa, tunica fibrosa, or tunica vaginalis, but they can also be vascular.
Operating Time:
The operation takes about three hours on average.
Type of anesthesia used:
General or local anesthesia?

For two weeks, you must refrain from any form of physical exercise or strain, as well as induced erections. Drugs are occasionally used to prevent frequent erections.
